Kraft donates $10K to Education Foundation

STONEHAM, MA - The Stoneham Business and Community Educational Foundation (SBCEF) is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from Kraft Foods/Atlantic Gelatin for the development and imple-mentation of an educational speaker series designed to provide parenting skills for parents, guardi-ans, significant others, and all caring adults to aid in the educational and personal development of children.
Kathleen Pigott and Harry Vassilakos of Kraft Foods presented this $10,000 grant Wednesday night at Boston Regional Medical Center to the Stoneham Business and Community Educational Foundation.
Thanks to this generous grant from Kraft Foods, the SBCEF will be hosting a four-part lecture series called, "Why Do Kids Do The Things They Do? (And What can I do About it?)" presented by well-known speaker Jack Agati, a graduate of West Virginia University with a Master's degree in Child and Family Counseling. Agati has worked in public education for over l5 years as a teacher, school counselor and director of Special Education. His experiences have been with chil-dren, teachers and families from the preschool age through high school.
Over the past l5 years, Agati has worked full time as a presenter in the areas of child develop-ment and home/classroom management strategies. This entertaining and informative presentation has been presented throughout the United States and Canada and will be offered to our commu-nity, free of charge, beginning in March.
This four-part lecture series will be held on March 17, 26, 31 and April 13 in the Stoneham High School auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m. Each session runs approximately 90 minutes and Certifi-cates of Participation will be issued for PDP credits.
