STONEHAM, MA - The mission of Stoneham's Board of Health is to educate, promote, improve and protect the health and well-being of its citizens. In keeping with this goal, the BOH requested and received funding from the Helen Walcott Stockwell Trust Fund in order to improve the public health nursing program, which will, in turn, provide the necessary community services.

The additional funding from this trust fund will be used to sponsor community educational seminars on various topics for the benefit of all Stoneham residents. In addition to the seminars, this funding will also provide residents with a social worker to assist them in obtaining medical services.

In order to conduct successful seminars, residents are welcome to provide their input and make suggestions on a particular public health topic that may be beneficial to the entire community. Suggestions can be made by calling BOH nurses office at 438-0501.
