Fatal car crash on Rte. 93 in Stoneham

STONEHAM, MA - A 39-year-old North Reading man died last night after crashing his 1994 Subaru Legacy station wagon on Route 93 North south of Exit 34 in Stoneham.
According to the State Police, Scott Wheelock was traveling north on Route 93 when he lost control of his car for "undetermined reasons." The car rolled over, and Wheelock was killed.
No one else was hurt; Wheelock had no passengers and did not hit other cars.
According to police, alcohol has not been ruled out as a contributing factor.
