STONEHAM, MA - The Town of Stoneham will finally cut the ribbon on the new Town Common next Thursday June 21 at 6 p.m. The dedication ceremony will take place before the first concert of the Summer Concert Series, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Town Common Dedication is being organized by the Board of Selectmen, the Town Common Committee and the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce. It promises to be a fun-filled event for the entire family, with state officials on hand to celebrate this special occasion.

Mark Vaughan, Chairman of the Town Common Committee, stated that "This is a day the Town of Stoneham has long waited for." The Town Common Committee, which was responsible for coming up with the design and components of the Common, recently completed its work on the Common. "This project has been talked about for the better part of the past Century", said Vaughan. "Now that the final product is starting to take shape, with the grass green and the flowers starting to bloom, I think that the residents of this Town are beginning to really appreciate what a special place the Common will be, a place for residents of all ages to come together and appreciate the Town. We hope that this Dedication Ceremony will make everyone aware of what the Town Common has to offer."
