Bic robber on the loose

STONEHAM, MA - Stoneham Police are on the lookout for a tall white male with dirty blonde hair after he allegedly attempted to rob a woman outside Eastern Bank at Redstone during the early morning hours.
According to the report, a woman in her sixties was exiting the bank when a tall man (reportedly between 6' and 6'5") in a hat and jacket reportedly cornered the woman, and began to poke her in the midsection with a bic pen. He repeatedly told her "Give me the bag" and continued to jab at the woman with the pen. The woman eventually complied, and the man began to run as a pair of good samaritan witnesses began to chase after the suspect.
The thief then dropped the handbag and his car keys as he rounded the Ground Round restaurant. According to Stoneham Police, the man then discarded the jacket and hat and somehow tricked the victim into giving him his car keys.
"Everything happened so fast to the woman, that I'm not sure she quite knew what was happening," said Stoneham Police Lt. Rick McCarthy. "Needless to say, he got away before we got to the scene."
The two witnesses and the victim were able to give a partial description of man described as a "head above" being 6'0" tall, with tribal arm tattoos and having dirty blonde hair and dirty blonde facial hair.
Stoneham Police are currently investigating several promising leads in the case.
