Home invasion on Clearview Road

STONEHAM, MA - Stoneham Police nabbed one suspect while another suspect may still be on the lam in an attempted early Wednesday morning home invasion and robbery of a 68-year-old man’s home on Clearview Road in Stoneham.
According to reports, a pair of suspects forced their way into the Clearview Road home of a pair of elderly men, and one of the victims fled the home and headed to the nearby home of an unidentified Stoneham Police Detective.
Bernard McCabe, 29, was arrested near the scene of the crime, where the suspects reportedly brandished handguns and assaulted the elderly men in a seemingly random crime.
The men entered the home donning masks, and, as previously stated, one of the suspects was nabbed by Stoneham Police and arraigned at Woburn District Court Wednsday morning. Stoneham Police are investigating the case and still looking for the second suspect -- with more details to follow in the next issue of the Stoneham Independent.
